Georgia does not intend to restore diplomatic relations with Russia.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that the reason is the occupation of 10% of the territory.

Today, Georgia does not have diplomatic relations with Russia, writes News.ru.

Kobakhidze explained that the republic is pursuing a policy that is in line with national interests.

Georgia does not have serious relations with other foreign policy players.

Kobakhidze answered negatively to the question about restoring diplomatic relations with Moscow.

He stressed that Georgia has no plans to restore relations with Russia.

Diplomatic negotiations are just beginning, and we have decided to satisfy these requests,” the prime minister added.

The occupied territories of Abkhazia and South Ossetia remain the main reason for this decision.

Kobakhidze confirmed that Georgia is not interested in strong diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation.
