Accusations against Hungary

Earlier it became known that Budapest decided to relax visa policies for residents of eight countries, including Russia and Belarus.

This decision by Hungary has caused indignation among EU countries. Some politicians have called for decisive action and for the country's exclusion from the Schengen zone for its migration policy.

The head of the European People's Party, which dominates the EU, Manfred Weber, believed that such a decision by Budapest would facilitate the penetration of "Russian saboteurs" into the EU.
