Dmitry Peskov assessed the impact of the election results in Great Britain on future relations between London and Moscow.

Vladimir Putin's press secretary expressed doubt that a Labour victory would lead to a "warming" of relations between Russia and Britain.

Peskov pointed out that the Labour Party, which won the parliamentary elections in Great Britain, is not inclined to show flexibility in relations with the Russian Federation.

This political association prefers to deny ties with Moscow, TASS reports.

Peskov made this conclusion based on past years, when the Labour Party dominated the British parliament.

The president's press secretary emphasized that this political force is not inclined to show creativity in matters related to the normalization of relations with Russia.

Thus, the Kremlin does not expect that the victory of the Laborites will lead to an improvement in the situation in this foreign policy vector.

Labour won the British election for the first time in 19 years. They now have more than half the seats in parliament.

Earlier, Rishi Sunak confirmed that he was leaving the post of British Prime Minister.
