"Not a reason for pessimism": the West's actions allow Russia to unleash its rich potential - Peskov
Dmitry Peskov commented on information about US plans to deploy hypersonic weapons in Germany.
The Kremlin press secretary suggested looking at the developing geopolitical situation from a different angle.
Moscow must take into account the West’s decisions, Peskov said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin, a fragment of which he published on his Telegram channel.
But this is not a reason for pessimism, says Vladimir Putin’s press secretary.
“On the contrary, this is a reason to get together and use all of the rich potential that we have,” Peskov said.
He added that Washington's plan takes the world back to the Cold War era.
The deployment of long-range missiles in Germany is one step along this path. But Peskov added that the world has already been through this before.
According to him, we are now seeing a return of the attributes of the Cold War with confrontations and direct confrontation.
The Kremlin spokesman stressed that the ultimate goal of all these Western actions is to suppress Russia.
