Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Ryabkov spoke about Moscow's response to the US actions.

Russia may deploy its launch facilities for intermediate- and shorter-range missiles (INF) in countries of the Asia-Pacific region (APR).

Ryabkov said that Russia would agree to this if similar American systems appeared in any region of the world, TASS reports.

The Foreign Ministry representative stressed that this would be Moscow’s response to the actions of the United States.

Ryabkov noted that now is the time when the Russian military-industrial complex (MIC) must provide the army with all the necessary means that can become a deterrent force.

The Deputy Foreign Minister pointed out that Russia’s political opponents should not feel safe.

If the US escalates, the appearance of Russian INF installations in Asia-Pacific countries will only be a matter of time.

MRBMs are medium-range ballistic missiles (flight range from 1000 to 5500 km).
