Moscow has spoken out regarding the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

According to the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, not everyone benefits from a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Sergey Lavrov expressed this opinion during a press conference organized following negotiations with the head of the Yemeni Foreign Ministry, Shaya al-Zindani, RIA Novosti reports.

As the Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized, he had the impression that not all parties to the conflict are striving to resolve it.

In particular, Lavrov believes that Israel is waiting for the presidential elections to take place in the United States. Tel Aviv can count on the fact that after the change of the head of the White House, the world community will begin to exert less pressure on the world community.

Al-Zindani, in turn, commented on what is happening from the point of view of Yemen. According to the head of the state's MFA, the escalation in Gaza inevitably affects the political situation in the entire region.

For Yemen, the situation in Palestine is of primary importance. However, the head of the Yemeni Foreign Ministry noted that the Houthis are not helping to resolve the situation in Gaza.
