It has become known about a new restriction from the Latvian authorities, which this time will affect cars from Belarus.

All cars with Belarusian license plates must leave the country by October 31.

RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the amendment adopted by the Latvian government. It is noted that the law was adopted urgently, and deputies of the Latvian Saeima voted for its adoption.

According to the document, all vehicles with Belarusian license plates must change them to Latvian ones or leave the territory of the state by October 31.

Otherwise, the cars may be confiscated from their owners.

Exceptions to this law will apply only to certain categories of vehicles. Thus, vehicles used by diplomats and persons with disabilities will not be subject to confiscation.

Let us recall that crossing the Latvian border in vehicles with Belarusian license plates was prohibited on July 16.
