Experts have identified the country that pays its leader the highest salary among other EU countries.

The 66-year-old German Chancellor Olaf Scholz topped this rating.

The Chairman of the German Government earns about 29 thousand euros (2.7 million rubles) per month, writes the portal VSquare . Scholz's annual income exceeds 348 thousand euros (32.8 million rubles).

It is noted that the German Chancellor earns almost 6 times more than the average German.

In second place is Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer with an annual income of more than 306 thousand euros (28.8 million rubles).

The top 3 highest paid leaders of the Eurozone are rounded out by Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden, who earns around 256 thousand euros (RUB 24.1 million) per year.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban topped the list of leaders who receive the highest salaries relative to the average wage in the country.

His annual income is over 191 thousand euros (18 million rubles). This is 9.5 times more than the average Hungarian.

Also, the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico has a significant lead. His salary is 7.6 times higher than that of an ordinary Slovak. In third place is the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala. He earns 6.1 times more.
