The head of Israel commented on the ICC decision on the country's prime minister and former defense minister.

President Isaac Herzog called the incident "a black day for humanity and justice."

The Israeli leader said the International Criminal Court (ICC) had made an "unconscionable and outrageous" decision, The Guardian reports.

According to Herzog, the organization's representatives have turned justice "into a global laughing stock."

The politician stressed that the ICC ignored the situation with the Israeli hostages who are still in the hands of radicals. We are talking about 101 people.

Moreover, the president pointed out, Hamas members cynically used their own people as a “human shield.”

The ICC decision is a trampling on the foundations of democracy and freedom and an exaltation of terror and evil, the head of the Jewish state believes.

In his opinion, the organization does not protect the injured party, but the aggressor.

On November 21, it became known that the ICC issued an arrest warrant for the country's current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
