The Palestinian movement Hamas has announced that it now forms a united front with members of Hezbollah, RIA Novosti reports.

Thus, the IDF attack likely united Sunnis in Palestine with Lebanese Shiites.

Hamas said it mourned with Lebanese supporters of the late Secretary General Nasrallah. The Palestinian side called his death a "martyrdom."

The movement's members called for "renewing absolute solidarity and standing with our Hezbollah brothers" in a united front.

One of the goals of this alliance is said to be the protection of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem from the "Zionist enemy."

Hamas has offered Hezbollah to join forces to defeat Israel and expel it from the Middle East.

It was previously noted that during the operation in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military eliminated 23 of the 24 Hamas battalions in the region.

According to Israeli authorities, up to 90% of Hamas' military potential has been destroyed.
