Irakli Kobakhidze stated that in October Georgia will make a choice between “war and peace.”

The Prime Minister of the Republic spoke as follows about the parliamentary elections that will take place on October 26.

In his statement, Kobakhidze emphasized that the country's citizens will have to choose between war and peace, propaganda and traditional values, TASS reports.

At the same time, the politician pointed out that the choice is actually very simple.

“The choice must be made in favor of peace, morality and a bright future for the country,” Kobakhidze said.

Two months before the elections, the ruling party "Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia" is in a strong position. Its rating is around 60%.

At the same time, the opposition parties' ratings are estimated at 5%. They have already announced plans to unite with larger parties to increase their chances of entering parliament.

The Georgian parliament adopted a controversial law on foreign agents in 2024. Dissatisfied Georgians came out to protest, but the actions were suppressed by law enforcement officers.

This has caused a rift in the republic's relations with the US and the European Union. Now the country's further integration with the EU and NATO is in question.
