Georgian CEC Chairman Doused with Paint During Session

An unexpected incident occurred during a meeting of the Central Election Commission in Georgia.

Opposition member of the commission David Kirtadze poured black paint on the chairman Giorgi Kalandarishvili.

Kirtadze's actions were shown on Georgian television, RIA Novosti emphasized in its report.

The CEC session was suspended after a sudden incident. Kirtadze's outburst was provoked by the consideration of the final protocol of the parliamentary elections of October 26.

The opposition does not recognize the results of the parliamentary elections, which were won by the ruling Georgian Dream party.
