01.08.2024 07:19

Finland is setting up mobile huts on the border with Russia to interview asylum seekers.

The Finnish Border Guard is preparing for changes on the eastern border due to the Conversion Act.

Containers for interviews with asylum seekers will appear at the border, Yle reports.

Under the new law, applying for asylum will become the exception, not the rule.

Each border crossing case will be assessed on an individual basis.

The assessment interview is scheduled on an expedited basis.

The expulsion of people from Finland will take place at border crossing points.

If necessary, this can also happen at the land border.
