British journalist Graham Phillips applied for asylum in the Russian Federation.
The Russian authorities have decided to accommodate a media representative who has been covering events in Donbass since 2014.
This information was shared on her Telegram channel by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk.
It is noted that the Briton received the corresponding certificate from the Oktyabrsky Department of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, which is located in the LPR.
Graham Phillips rose to prominence as a freelance journalist for RT in Ukraine.
In 2022, the UK authorities imposed sanctions on him for allegedly creating media content that undermines the integrity of Ukraine's territory and contributes to destabilization of the situation.
These restrictions from London also include freezing the journalist's accounts.
At the same time, Phillips himself noted that London’s decision regarding him was nothing more than the actions of “banana republic bandits.”
