The State Duma has adopted a bill on blood donation in the first reading

It became known about a new bill, adopted today, September 18, in the first reading.

The State Duma has preliminarily approved new regulations for blood donation by donors on a voluntary basis.

This was reported on the official website of the State Duma.

According to the document, the new measures should promote more active involvement of young people in the donation process.

The bill proposes to introduce additional support measures for those who donate blood voluntarily.

In particular, student donors may subsequently be offered an additional day off on the day of donating blood and its components. Students will also be able to claim a day off on the day of a medical examination related to the upcoming blood donation.

As specified in the explanatory note to the bill, if it is adopted, more students will show interest in the gratuitous initiative, which will subsequently allow for an increase in the volume of procurement of donor blood and its components.
