The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Moscow has revealed details of a crime in which a man tried to steal a baby from his mother's arms.
The incident in question occurred yesterday, July 24, in Moscow.
As the capital's law enforcement officers explained, the attacker was under the influence of illegal substances, as reported by RIA Novosti .
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Moscow also added: “This information is preliminary.”
Attempt to kidnap a child
Yesterday, near a house on Fergansky Proezd in Moscow, a stranger attacked a woman who was holding a child in her arms.
The attacker snatched the baby, born in 2024, and attempted to escape, but was stopped by an eyewitness to the incident.
The offender threw the baby to the ground, thereby causing him injuries.
A criminal case was opened on the fact of this incident. The defendant is accused of kidnapping a person. It is assumed that the perpetrator had a previous conviction.
