Over the past six months, the number of people killed in accidents involving carsharing vehicles has decreased by 55.6%. TASS reports the details, citing the press service of the Moscow State Traffic Safety Inspectorate.
It is noted that 148 accidents involving short-term rental vehicles were recorded in the first 6 months of this year. In them, 168 people were injured and 4 people died.
According to the press service, compared to last year, the number of accidents decreased by 28.2%, the number of fatalities decreased by 55.6%, and the number of people injured decreased by 31.4%.
It was also noted that the number of accidents involving taxis has also decreased. Compared to 2023, since the beginning of 2024 the number of accidents has decreased by 6% - this is 827 accidents. The number of victims and fatalities has also decreased.
It is added that the State Traffic Inspectorate will continue to monitor the movement of taxis and car sharing vehicles.
