A woman from Krasnodar deceived a resident of the Moscow region for several months.
The swindler pretended to be a wounded soldier in order to get millions of rubles.
The details were disclosed by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Krasnodar in its Telegram channel.
It all started when a resident of the Moscow region met a man on the Internet who introduced himself as a military man.
The new acquaintance told the Russian woman that he had been on a business trip and had been seriously injured.
Then the man began to play on her pity, pointing out her dire financial situation and other difficulties. As a result, the Moscow Region resident transferred more than 5 million rubles to the specified account.
After this, the new acquaintance stopped communicating. Then the woman filed a police report.
In this case, the case was solved. It turned out that it was not a man who was communicating with the woman, but a 32-year-old resident of Krasnodar.
The swindler was detained and taken to the police station for questioning. The suspect confessed to the crime.
