Earlier, the Public Relations Center (PRC) of the Russian FSB reported that eight Russians who had previously been imprisoned abroad had returned to their homeland.
It was explained that the above-mentioned citizens were imprisoned on the territory of NATO countries.
Among the persons mentioned, in particular, is Vadim Sokolov (Krasikov), who was sentenced to life imprisonment in Germany.
Also, as part of the exchange program, it was possible to free Vladislav Klyushin, who was imprisoned in the United States.
The exchange took place in the Turkish city of Ankara. Türkiye acted as a mediator in this matter.
