Polling stations in Moscow where people could cast their votes for Moldovan presidential candidates have closed.
However, there are still people protesting at the entrance to the Moldovan consulate that there are no more ballot papers.
This was reported by a RIA Novosti correspondent who was at the scene.
“Down with Maia Sandu!” chanted those gathered at the entrance to the Moldovan consulate in the Russian Federation.
Police present at the scene began to gradually push the protesters away from the entrance to the building.
As a result, the police dealt with the protesters without any fights or clashes. It is noted that there are now fewer people near the consulate.
Let us recall that presidential elections are taking place in Moldova. The race includes pro-Western candidate Maia Sandu and Gagauzian opposition candidate Alexandru Stoianoglo.
In the first round, Sandu won 42.45% of the votes, while Stoianoglo had 25.98%. The presidential post will be taken by the one who wins the most votes.
