Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Russia will take measures regarding NATO vessels in the Black Sea.
According to a Kremlin spokesman, today the member countries of the North Atlantic Alliance pose an “additional threat” to Moscow.
Peskov explained: “Today’s reality is such that the presence of NATO ships in the Black Sea escalates tensions,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
In addition, the Kremlin representative noted that Russia will do everything to minimize its risks.
Putin's press secretary noted the fact that the regime of stay of the bloc's ships is regulated by the norms of the Montreux Convention.
Türkiye is monitoring compliance with the said NPA and, according to Peskov, is implementing its functions in this matter “quite clearly.”
It was previously noted that Volodymyr Zelensky approved Ukraine’s strategic security in maritime matters.
According to the document of the Ukrainian leader, NATO forces can establish their presence in the Black Sea.
