New schools for palliative care patients to appear in Moscow region

All patients, including palliative ones, need care and support.

With this in mind, schools were created for palliative patients.

Palliative care schools will be created in seven city districts of the Moscow region within 7 months. Details are reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the regional Ministry of Health and Minister Alexey Sapanyuk.

It is noted that these schools are aimed at helping relatives care for patients. They allow creating comfortable conditions for the patient's home

According to Sapalyuk, such schools will be established in various hospitals, including Lukhovitskaya, Zarayskaya, and Kolomenskaya.

He noted that the training will be conducted by various specialists, including psychologists.

The press service also noted that not only relatives, but also social workers can visit schools.

It is added that there are currently 4 schools operating in the Moscow region.
