Moscow Region Doctors Remove Dessert Spoon From Man's Stomach
It has become known about an unusual operation performed by surgeons from the Moscow region.
Doctors discovered a dessert spoon in the man's stomach and promptly removed it surgically.
The press service of the Moscow Region Ministry of Health reported this on its official website .
As specified in the publication, the patient was admitted to the Mytishchi hospital on an emergency call. He complained of nausea and vomiting, along with increased salivation.
During the examination it was discovered that there was a dessert spoon in the 42-year-old man's stomach.
The surgeons decided to remove the foreign object endoscopically and successfully completed the task, despite the complex configuration of the spoon and several constrictions that the specialists encountered along the way.
The patient feels well and has already been discharged for outpatient treatment.
Doctors warned that one should never rely on such a large object to pass naturally. The presence of a foreign body could eventually lead to serious consequences, including internal bleeding.
