The Preobrazhensky District Court of Moscow recognized toilet paper with banknotes depicting Yaroslav the Wise as an insult to the feelings of believers.
It is noted that the specified product was in the possession of the online store "Filkina Gramota".
The corresponding claim was filed by the inter-district prosecutor, as reported by TASS .
The court ruling states: “The claim is granted and the product is recognized as offensive to the feelings of believers.”
In addition, the court ruled that toilet paper with banknotes is prohibited from distribution.
It is explained that during the course of investigative measures it was possible to identify the above-mentioned product in the picture as a banknote from 1997.
The drawing represents a monument erected to Yaroslav the Wise.
This historical figure is canonized and is therefore revered by the Russian Orthodox Church.
