It has become known how the trial between Sberbank and Euroclear Bank ended.
In Moscow, the financial organization's demand for payment of 6.4 million in a lawsuit was recognized as legal.
This information was reported from the courtroom of the Moscow Arbitration Court by a RIA Novosti correspondent.
It is noted that we are talking about three Sberbank accounts that were opened at Euroclear Bank and then blocked.
The total amount that the court ordered Sberbank to pay is approximately 688 million rubles at the current exchange rate.
It consists of the funds themselves placed in accounts and the interest that has accumulated by October 1, 2024.
According to Sberbank, its representatives sent an order in May 2022 to transfer funds to other banks, but Euroclear Bank did not comply.
At that time, sanctions restrictions against the Russian financial institution were not yet in effect, but Euroclear Bank representatives insist that they could not comply with Sberbank’s order due to EU regulations.
