Over 63,000 traffic violations by pedestrians were stopped in Moscow in six months. TASS reports the details, citing the press service of the capital's State Traffic Inspectorate.
It is noted that, compared to the number of violations by drivers, the number of violations by pedestrians was almost 16 thousand less.
According to the press service, pedestrians were more disciplined than drivers. This is indicated by the number of violations - 63181.
It was also noted that over the course of six months, drivers committed more violations – 78.6 thousand.
It is also known that a frequent violation by pedestrians was crossing the road in an unauthorized place or on a red light. A common violation by drivers was not allowing pedestrians to cross.
The traffic police added that it is important for drivers not to forget to let pedestrians pass, braking in advance. Pedestrians were advised to be attentive on the roads.
