The Moscow prosecutor's office reported that a man in the capital fatally struck his own sister on the head with a hammer.
The incident was reportedly recorded in an apartment in a residential building on Taganrogskaya Street in the capital.
Law enforcement officials noted on their official Telegram channel: “A conflict occurred between relatives that ended in a deadly fight.”
The victim, a 27-year-old woman, was quickly taken to hospital. Despite the efforts of doctors, she died from her injuries.
The suspect in this case is a 25-year-old local resident. The police detained him for subsequent questioning.
It is reported that a criminal case was opened on the fact of the incident under Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
