Identity of suspect in car bombing in northern Moscow established

The capital's law enforcement officers have learned the identity of the person who blew up the car of a Moscow resident.

Investigators have reported details of the incident that occurred on Wednesday, July 24, on Sinyavinskaya Street.

A few hours after the incident, law enforcement officers identified the perpetrator, RIA Novosti reports.

Experts found the car in which the suspect arrived at the scene of the crime.

The most experienced investigators and forensic experts from the Moscow Investigative Committee also continue to work at the scene of the crime.

Details of the incident

The incident on Sinyavinskaya Street occurred at approximately 6:30 Moscow time.

One of the foreign cars parked near an apartment building exploded when there were two people in it. The man and woman survived, and doctors are providing them with assistance.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs claims that the explosion was caused by an object that was attached to a Toyota SUV.

The investigation is being conducted by specialists from the first department for especially important cases of the Moscow Main Directorate of the Investigative Committee.

The attackers targeted a man and his wife. Law enforcement officials believe that an attempt was made on the car owner. The reason is related to the professional activities of the victim.
