A fraudster wanted by Interpol has been detained at Moscow airport.
This was reported by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk.
The department's website reports that Russian citizen Alexander Kravchenko was detained at Domodedovo Airport. He was wanted for embezzling over 3 million rubles in the business sector.
Using his official position, the man committed theft on an especially large scale.
In February-November 2019, the Russian attracted funds from citizens to invest in the "business". But in fact, he simply appropriated millions of rubles. The man fled abroad with the stolen money.
In February 2024, he was put on the international wanted list at the initiative of Tatarstan law enforcement officers.
Before arriving in Moscow, Kravchenko was in Uzbekistan. From Tashkent, he flew to Domodedovo, where he was detained.
The Russian was taken to the duty station of the RF Ministry of Internal Affairs at the airport. He will be handed over to Tatarstan law enforcement officers in the near future.
