The weather forecaster shared information with Muscovites about when real cold weather will come to the capital.
Climate winter may arrive in Moscow 20 days later than usual.
This opinion was expressed in a conversation with RIA Novosti journalists by leading specialist of the Phobos weather center Evgeny Tishkovets.
The expert recalled that traditionally, the climatic winter arrives in the capital on November 13.
However, this year it should not be expected before December, since over the past decades this period has already increased by approximately 20 days.
According to Tishkovets, this trend is a natural consequence of global warming. That is why autumn has been steadily lengthening for several decades, significantly shortening the coldest time of the year.
2024 will be no exception, as the change of seasons should coincide with the calendar. The appearance of stable snow cover and temperatures below zero in Moscow should not be expected before the beginning of December.
