A Russian airline plane made an emergency unscheduled landing.
Initially, the reason was given as “technical necessity”, but later information emerged about the death of a passenger.
The Pobeda airline's aircraft took off from Moscow's Vnukovo airport and headed to Samara, RIA Novosti reports.
But on the way the plane landed in Ulyanovsk. Here at the airport the aircraft was about an hour and a half.
The plane then continued on its way and completed its flight at midnight local time or 23:00 Moscow time.
A number of media outlets and Telegram channels claim that the emergency landing was caused by the death of a 44-year-old passenger who was flying with his wife, son and grandson.
RIA Novosti contacted the Ulyanovsk airport administration for comment, but they refused to disclose the reason and circumstances of the emergency landing.
Izvestia reports that an ambulance arrived at the Ulyanovsk airport, but doctors only confirmed the man's death.
According to preliminary data from the publication, the passenger died due to heart problems.
