250 illegal immigrants identified in Moscow
A raid was conducted in the capital and the Moscow region to identify illegal migrants.
As a result, law enforcement officers identified 250 cases of violation of migration legislation.
The Main Directorate for Migration Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reported this on its Telegram channel.
The target of the checks was drivers of vehicles who have foreign citizenship.
As a result, it turned out that 250 violations were recorded in the taxi transportation sector in Moscow and the Moscow region, 138 of which relate to migration legislation.
These include the following violations:
- 110 cases of violation of entry and stay conditions;
- 20 cases of evasion of mandatory fingerprinting procedure;
- 8 cases of illegal work as a cab driver.
It is noted that the police found a number of forged documents from migrants, including invalid work permits, fake migration cards, fake driver's licenses, etc.
Violations on the part of employers were also identified. Administrative liability was imposed for 18 cases of hiring foreign citizens to work as taxi drivers.
