When buying branded clothing, you will most likely see various symbols on the tag attached either to the back of the neck or to the left side.
These signs tell you how to wash and care for your clothes. They are very easy to decipher, and many of the symbols are logical.
They are divided into four points - washing, ironing, bleaching and dry cleaning, as well as drying.
The most common icons in the washing mode are permission or prohibition of washing. If you have a picture of a basin with water in front of you, it means that you can wash, if the picture is crossed out, then washing is prohibited at all.
If the numbers 90, 40, 50 are drawn on the basin, this means the recommended maximum water temperature for washing. If you see an icon that looks like an infinity sign, this means that the item cannot be wrung out.
The next group is drying things. An empty square means that you can dry things, a crossed-out one means you can’t.
If there is a circle in the square, the item can be dried in the washing machine. This symbol resembles a side-loading washing machine.
If this symbol is crossed out, then neither drying nor wringing the item in the washing machine is allowed. There are also such pictures that indicate that the item can be dried hanging on a rope or on a horizontal surface.
Ironing things – this point is intuitive. If you see an image of an iron, then ironing is allowed, if it is crossed out, then it is prohibited.
If the iron has one dot, then ironing is allowed at low temperatures; if there are three dots, then you can set a high temperature (up to 200 degrees).
Bleaching and dry cleaning are more complex signs. If you see the letter A in a circle, then there are no prohibitions, if there is the letter P, then we use hydrocarbon products.
The usual data of designation is needed when going to the dry cleaner. An empty triangle means that the item can be bleached.
All the symbols on clothes can be found on the Internet. Pay attention to them when you are going to clean or wash clothes.
If you follow the manufacturers' instructions, your clothes will last a long time and will retain a beautiful, unworn appearance for a long time.
