The freezer allows you to preserve nutrients in food for a long time.

You can not only extend the shelf life, but also preserve the taste of products. However, not all products can be stored in the freezer.

Meat and seafood

The freezer is suitable for storing meat and seafood. Raw meat (such as chicken, beef, pork) can be frozen.

Divide the meat into portions, pack in an airtight bag and place in the freezer.

Seafood (such as fish, shrimp) can also be frozen and used to prepare various dishes.

Vegetables and fruits

Vegetables and fruits are subject to deep freezing. Some vegetables (for example, spinach, broccoli, peas) are recommended to be kept in hot water for several minutes before freezing to preserve fresh taste and nutrients.

Fruits (such as berries) can be used to make various desserts and drinks after defrosting.

Snacks and bakery products

Some snacks and baked goods can be frozen (e.g. pizza, sandwiches, muffins, donuts).

Make sure that the packaging of the products is secure and airtight. Remember that after defrosting, baked goods need to be reheated before consumption.

Dairy products

Dairy products (such as milk, cheese, cream, and yogurt) can be frozen, but long-term storage is not possible. Milk separates into water and sediment when frozen, and yogurt loses its structure. It is best to store such products in the refrigerator.

Chicken eggs

You can't store eggs in the freezer. When frozen, they burst and become inedible. If you need to extend the shelf life, it's better to use the refrigerator, where the eggs will be stored for several weeks.

Not all foods can be frozen. Fresh green vegetables (such as lettuce, basil, and parsley) are not recommended for freezing, as they lose their freshness and flavor.

Do not freeze foods with a high water content (e.g. melon, watermelon, cucumbers). Such foods become too soft after defrosting.

Most foods are safe to freeze and store in the freezer. Defrost foods in the refrigerator or microwave. Do not do this at room temperature, as poisoning is possible.
