One Fruit Will Get Rid of the Plastic Smell from a New Electric Kettle: A Simple Trick
If a new kettle smells like plastic, you must get rid of this “aroma” before using it.
To do this, you don’t need to use special products or unleash the full power of your arsenal of household chemicals on your equipment.
There is a simple, effective and environmentally friendly way. You only need one fruit, which you can find in the refrigerator or the nearest store.
Take one lemon, cut it and put it in the kettle. Fill it with water up to the max mark. Boil the water and leave it until it cools down, then bring it to the boil again.
Next, rinse the kettle with running water. Instead of lemon, you can use citric acid. Use 25 g of the product per liter of water.
Lemon juice will also work – 50 ml per liter of water.
