However, you can restore the softness of your towels using one budget drugstore product.

In this case, it will prove to be very effective and efficient.

This product will soften hard water and restore softness to towels. It also removes static from fabric.

Therefore, when washing, you can add a teaspoon of glycerin to the conditioner.

Apart from this, there are some other simple ways that can help make old terry towels soft again.

For example, you can use baking soda and vinegar for this.

A glass of vinegar should be poured into the liquid detergent compartment of the washing machine.

Afterwards, we start the wash. In this case, you need to set a high temperature, but without rinsing and spinning.

Then pour half a glass of soda into the powder compartment and start the wash again, only this time with rinsing and spinning.

Towels will also become soft again if you soak them in a salt solution.

For a liter of cool water you need a few tablespoons of salt.

Afterwards, you need to put towels in the resulting solution for about 30 minutes.

Then they should be rinsed and wrung out thoroughly. In this case, it is advisable to dry them in the fresh air.
