How to remove dried glue from wallpaper after pasting: working techniques

When gluing wallpaper, glue often gets on the front surface, which must be removed immediately with a rag or napkin.

But if you didn’t notice it in time and it hardened, then it’s better to study some useful tips for careful removal.

Eraser

This method is suitable for completely dry stains and is a fairly quick way to remove glue. You need to take an eraser, preferably with rough and soft edges, and gently rub the area without pressing hard, as this can damage the pattern or texture.

Warm water

The option is suitable for fresh glue residue. Wet the sponge in warm water, squeeze it out and rub the stain. Repeat 2-3 times.

Alcohol

Soak a cloth made of natural fabrics in an alcohol solution (it is better not to use pure alcohol, but to dilute it with water in a ratio of 1:1), rub the stain, leave for a couple of minutes and wipe with a clean dry cloth.

Vinegar

Dilute a small amount of the bite with water and apply to a cotton pad or napkin, wet the area, wait a few minutes. Repeat as needed.

Store products

You can also use special products called removers to remove glue stains from wallpaper.

Removing dried glue is not a labor-intensive process and does not require expensive solutions. However, it is best to remove the remains immediately.
