Modern cosmetic products, including antiperspirants, talc and deodorants, are a real salvation for every person who is used to living in an intense rhythm.

Some people have a congenital problem with sweating, some sweat as a result of stressful situations, but modern high-quality cosmetics make life easier for people in such an intimate matter.

There is one drawback to using such products - deodorant stains.

Despite the many advantages of these products, they also have significant disadvantages.

In most cases, they leave marks on clothes. Marks remain not only on dark but also on light shades of clothes.

How to use deodorant correctly to avoid stains

The product should be used on previously cleaned and dry skin.

Applying it to a layer of old sweat will only increase the unpleasant odor, and moisture will not allow the product to work fully.

Spray deodorants are recommended to be sprayed from a distance of about 20 cm.

A closer distance may cause flakes to form on the skin and, as a result, stains on clothing. A longer distance will not allow you to treat the desired areas of the skin in the desired manner.

Each product used should be given time to soak in and dry. Spray products need 2-3 minutes, cream and gel textures – 6 minutes.

You should only get dressed after the product has been completely absorbed and dried, otherwise stains on your clothes are inevitable.

Washing methods

In most cases, removing such stains is not difficult, but this is only if the stains were removed in a timely manner and not left on the clothes for a long time.

Here are some popular remedies for removing deodorant stains:

  1. Add the required amount of washing powder or soap to a container with warm water. Any of these products should be completely dissolved in water.
  2. Pre-soaking: It is recommended to soak the garment in water for at least half an hour, then wash it, washing the soiled areas more thoroughly.
  3. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat the procedure until the water remains clear, otherwise the stains from the antiperspirant will be supplemented by stains from the powder.
  4. If the stain cannot be removed, it is recommended to apply a thick layer of powder on it, leave it for 5-7 hours, and then proceed with normal washing.

Effective ways to get rid of stains

If the usual means are ineffective, then you can use non-standard, but time-tested methods of removing stains:

  1. Dishwashing detergent. This is a fairly aggressive cleaner, so it is recommended to apply it to the stain for just a couple of minutes, then wash and rinse thoroughly.
  2. Lemon juice. If you add it to a container with warm water and soak the item, the stains will begin to come off, and the pleasant aroma will be a pleasant addition.
  3. Vodka. This drink is irreplaceable when removing old stains. It should be poured on the stain and left for at least 15 minutes, then the item is washed and rinsed.
  4. Table salt is also a fighter in the fight against new and old stains. The necessary gruel can be obtained by mixing salt and a small amount of water. The resulting mixture is applied to the stain overnight, after which the item is washed in the usual way.
  5. Vinegar is a fairly aggressive solution, so it should be used very carefully. Only a non-concentrated solution can be used and only for colored fabrics.

Each of the methods can be used at home. The clothes will look neat and tidy.
