However, there are several simple ways to do this using available tools.

How to remove the second-hand smell from clothes

Used items are treated with formaldehyde for disinfection. And the specific smell of this substance can cause problems.

The first method that will help remove this substance from the fabric is vinegar. For 10 liters of water, you will need 100 milliliters of vinegar and 50 grams of baking soda.

Mix the ingredients in water and soak the items in the solution for 8 hours. All that remains is to wash them with powder.

To get rid of the smell using the second method, pour 10 milliliters of a 5% ammonia solution into 5 liters of water. It is recommended to keep natural fabrics in such a mixture for no more than an hour, synthetics can be soaked for 6 hours.

The third method is to use sea salt. Add 2 tablespoons of salt (you can add essential oil for a better effect if you wish), pour hot water and leave for a couple of hours. After this procedure, you can simply rinse the items and hang them out to dry.
