How to choose and use honey correctly. Tips from the average person

Honey contains glucose and sugar in equal parts, has a bactericidal effect, accelerates wound healing, calms nerves, prolongs life, and preserves youth.

Honey is an excellent antioxidant that prevents the formation of free radicals that cause dangerous diseases.

The most useful honey is honey in the comb, it contains propolis and other active substances.

The product is best absorbed in dissolved form. You can consume up to 4-6 teaspoons per day. A warm water solution of honey reduces stomach acidity, while a cold solution increases and strengthens intestinal peristalsis.

As a medicinal and soothing remedy, honey is taken with warm milk, lemon juice (proportions: 100 g of honey - juice of 1 lemon), with not hot tea with lemon balm (1 tbsp of honey per cup of drink) an hour before bed.

If you have bought honey but have doubts about its quality, you can test it.

1. Put 1 teaspoon in warm, but not boiled water and mix thoroughly. A good product should dissolve in water completely.

2. Mix honey in half a glass of water and add 3-4 drops of pharmacy iodine. If the color of the solution changes to blue, the conclusion is obvious: starch or flour has been mixed into the product.

3. Drop a couple of drops of vinegar essence (concentrated acid) onto the honey. If a reaction occurs, the honey will start to hiss and release carbon dioxide, then chalk has been added to the product.

It is best to store honey in a dry and cool place at a temperature of 5–10 °C. The product should not be exposed to high temperatures: this will cause the product to lose its benefits.
