Housewives were told how to cheaply make hard towels soft again - a cheap trick

There are simple ways to make towels soft.

One of them involves using white vinegar instead of your regular conditioner.

Vinegar bleaches and removes laundry detergent residue much faster and better than some fabric softeners.

Vinegar will not harm your towels, and using it as a softener will leave your towels soft and fresh.

How to Use Vinegar When Washing Towels

White vinegar should not be used every time you wash towels, but rather once every three washes.

To restore your towels to their usual softness, use vinegar every six weeks or so.

After washing with vinegar, towels should be air-dried. This helps remove odor and fluff up the fabric fibers.

If you want to achieve maximum softness, try rinsing them twice after washing.

This trick will help remove some of the detergent and fabric softener residue from the fabric.
