Not all apartment cleaning tips are equally useful.
Let's figure out in which cases it's worth neglecting those life hacks you've heard about before.
Firstly, it is worth forgetting that vinegar is a magic wand when any kind of dirt appears.
White vinegar is a really effective cleaning agent, as long as it doesn't affect porous surfaces. It should never be used to clean marble, tile grout, rubber products, or gadget or TV screens.
The same goes for soda. Although it is a gentle abrasive, it can still harm delicate surfaces.
Wiping windows with newspaper after washing is also not the best idea, as waste paper leaves ink marks and micro-scratches on the glass. It is better to use microfiber for these purposes.
By the way, about microfiber. This material is capable of ridding you of dust, while a duster (aka a broom for cleaning dust) only moves it around the apartment.
