Nowadays, the use of crystal glassware at home is a rather rare phenomenon.
Although until recently, every Soviet family had a crystal set, the items were like twin brothers, unless the set was brought from abroad.
And what is characteristic is that despite the widespread use of such dishes, only a few knew how to properly care for them.
There are some useful tips that will help you a lot when caring for your crystal products.
This is where people make the most mistakes. Crystal should not be washed in too cold or too hot water.
This information should first be studied in the manufacturer's warranty documents. If the temperature regime is not observed, the crystal will quickly crack.
Even if it seems to you that it is best to use long-pile rags for wiping more delicately, this is far from true.
You may think the pile is soft enough, but it will still scratch the surface, use lint-free cloths.
There is an excellent remedy that will help keep crystal in excellent condition. Just a few dozen minutes of keeping the dishes in potato broth will work wonders.
It is enough to perform this procedure after washing dishes for 60-80 minutes, and the crystal will be transparent and shiny.
But you shouldn’t get carried away with such methods too often, since frequent washing of any dishes will eventually lead to damage to the surface.
