A deputy of the Council of People's Deputies of the Sobinsky District of the Vladimir Region is suspected of using slave labor.
His criminal group included three more people.
The deputy was arrested on suspicion of using slave labor, the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Vladimir Region reported.
Based on the results of operational work, criminal cases were initiated under Part 4 of Article 159 and Part 3 of Article 127.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
According to the Investigative Committee, the criminal group included three more people.
From February to October, the defendants illegally detained three men on the territory of a car wash belonging to the deputy.
They used their slave labor without payment at any time.
The defendants also stole over 1 million rubles from the victim’s bank account.
They forced men to do work for free on demand at any time of the day.
The members of the criminal group were detained and the victims were interrogated.
Investigative actions are currently underway to clarify all the circumstances and discover other possible crimes of the accused.
