Two more escaped prisoners detained in Lipetsk region
The Governor of Lipetsk Region spoke about the progress of the operation to capture escaped prisoners.
New details were published on Igor Artamonov’s official Telegram channel.
Law enforcement officers are on the trail of two more convicts who escaped from Lipetsk Correctional Colony No. 2 on October 25.
These prisoners were detained in the Lipetsk region. Previously, it was reported that two other escapees were caught in the Tambov region.
A total of 6 people escaped. Law enforcement officers still have two more prisoners to find. All six are from Central Asian countries.
It is known that the convicts dug a 65-meter tunnel to escape. Apparently, once free, they split into pairs and went in different directions.
According to media reports, the fugitives had been developing their plan for about six months.
The investigative bodies have already responded to the incident. A criminal case has been opened under the article on negligence.
