Turkey raises airport threat level over terror risk
Turkey has suddenly raised the threat level at airports due to the risk of terrorist attacks.
An orange alert has been issued following a terrorist attack on the country's aerospace industry.
A high alert level has been introduced at all airports to strengthen security measures, the Hürriyet newspaper reported.
Turkish airports carry out thorough checks on vehicles entering the territory.
Security officers also check passengers' documents.
Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen Airport warned on social media of additional checks and asked passengers to arrive three hours before departure.
A terrorist attack that led to increased security took place on Wednesday in Ankara near the TUSAŞ corporation building.
Two of the attackers were killed by police. The attack left five people dead and 22 injured.
