It is noted that the ship is currently located at a distance of 80 meters from the coastline.
There are 14 people on board whose lives are out of danger.
According to information from Rosmorrechflot, a natural disaster has broken out in the Kerch Strait, causing tankers sailing through it to begin to suffer distress.
The first SOS signal was sent by the vessel "Volgoneft-212", which requested assistance. A rescue tug was sent to save the tanker.
Then the tanker Volgoneft-239, which also sustained damage during the voyage, began to request help.
It is noted that the storm led to an oil spill in the Kerch Strait: the ships were carrying 9.2 thousand tons of fuel oil on board. Emergency services reported that measures are being taken to eliminate the consequences.
