Investigators in Kabardino-Balkaria have opened a criminal case into the death of a girl, the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic reports.
According to investigators, a girl born in 2017 died in the city of Nalchik on the afternoon of July 24.
During a walk, a child fell into a pit flooded with rainwater.
A 1.5-metre deep pit was dug for the purpose of laying a heating main. However, there were no fences or warning signs near it.
As a result, the child fell and died on Wednesday, July 24.
A criminal case has been opened on the fact of the death of the minor under Part 2 of Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
