The Investigative Committee conducted a search at General Shesterov’s home in connection with the thefts in Patriot Park
Law enforcement officials explained that the police conducted a search of the home and workplace of the deputy head of the Main Directorate for Innovative Development of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Vladimir Shesterov.
It is emphasized that Shesterov is suspected of carrying out illegal activities related to fraud on an especially large scale.
It is emphasized that the accused committed offenses in Patriot Park, as reported by TASS .
The police said: "The perpetrator had the necessary documents confiscated, which were important for supplementing the evidence base."
A high-profile case
At present, investigative measures are ongoing against Shesterov.
It was previously reported that the suspect and the head of the Patriot Park, Vyacheslav Akhmedov, were convicted of fraud.
An investigation is being conducted against the above individuals; both are suspected of committing crimes under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The accused allegedly stole funds from the budget allocated to support the activities of the Patriot Park.
