It was decided to remove the head of the department from office in connection with a high-profile incident in the locality under his jurisdiction.
This information was confirmed by the head of the Chelyabinsk Region Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Sergei Kosmachev, during a meeting organized with residents of the city of Korkino in the Chelyabinsk Region.
As RIA Novosti reports, the official confirmed the fact that the police colonel who held this position, Vladimir Dyakin, had been suspended from service.
An official investigation will also be conducted into the incident.
